John Van Deusen: New Music Update

John Van Deusen shared an update on the progress of his next album last Friday. In a message to followers on Bandcamp Van Deusen expressed his gratefulness to fans who supported his art and his family and explaining that his next album will take him longer due to the it being “…so much more ambitious than anything else I’ve done before…” adding that “…life with kids makes everything take a bit longer.”


Not counting JVD’s Christmas album or his collaborative album, his last album was of epic proportions (I Am) Origami Pt. 4 – Marathon Daze had 21 tracks and was over an hour long, a fitting conclusion to his (I Am) Origami albums. With fans commenting their love for the album that makes them reflect on their own lives. Read more about that album here.


Since the release of (I Am) Origami Pt. 4 – Marathon Daze JVD has released a Christmas album called In The Bleak Midwinter and collaborated with 40-year veteran of the music industry ambient music artist Jeff Johnson to create Eremo meaning refuge or hermitage a 28 minute soundscape that gives you time to reflect in it’s ethereal music.


I am excited to hear that JVD is back in the studio and I look forward with open ears to listen to his next album, whenever that may be.
