Unreleased half • alive Music
HEAR YE HEAR YE, half • alive has done us all a favour and released new music with promises of unreleased songs on the way.
If you haven’t yet heard the song you can go to the bottom of the article and skip past the fascinating translations of Wingding 3 that took me all day (maybe 40 minutes). The song really is fantastic and it reminds me of mutemath, twenty • one • pilots and AJR. I do enjoy the “Yippee ki yay” but I’m not going to make the same Bruce Willis joke that most people seem to have made.
I’m here to talk about the dingbats, the wingdings the symbols that flash at the beginning and end of the video during the credits. Well, I’ve been sitting on my laptop trying to figure out what it means and I’ve got some good news. Someone else figured it out before me, a half • alive fan account. But I STILL did it myself cause that’s the DEDICATION I have.
Most of the flashes are translated to English, for example, the ones that flash on Josh’s back are Wingding 3 and Webdings and both translate to half • alive. That said, it gets way more interesting when the large swaths of texts flash on the screen.
Below is the first swath of text that talks about an unreleased song called Summerland.
The next swath of symbols talks of another unreleased song called MOVE ME, and what makes me particularly interested in that song is that more symbols go on to say the song is about God and they give the chorus. The g’s are supposed to be there.
So half • alive has new music and it looks as if more new music is on the way. If you haven’t heard their new song yet I suggest going below and watching the intricately choreographed video with just as impressive visuals and colours.
